“East or West, Ningbo Jiangxia is the best.” When this familiar Ningbo folk saying was read aloud by international students, the century-long story of the Ningbo Bang resonated across cultures.

9月30日，宁波工程学院国际交流学院组织国际新生走进宁波帮博物馆。在深入了解宁波帮百年商帮文化的过程中，古老商帮的智慧与现代学子的思考在此碰撞，迸发出启迪未来的火花。

On September 30, the International Exchange College of Ningbo University of Technology organized a visit for incoming international students to the Ningbobang Museum. The wisdom of the past met the reflections of modern students, sparking insights for the future.

在“筚路蓝缕”展厅，从中药店同仁堂到红帮裁缝，从勇闯上海滩到扬帆远洋，包玉刚、王宽诚等商贾敢为人先的故事令学生们赞叹。而那些保存完好的往来书信和纸质契约也令同学们颇感惊讶。来自摩洛哥的Kenza是国际商务专业的学生，“过去的人们仅凭信任就能完成交易，不需要复杂合同，一个签名就足够了。”这让她开始思考，在未来的国际商务中如何重建这种珍贵的信任关系。

In the "Arduous Pioneering Life" exhibition, students saw everything from traditional pharmacy Tongrentang to Hongbang Tailor, from ventures into Shanghai to maritime trade. Stories of entrepreneurs such as Yue-Kong Pao and Wang Kuancheng, who dared to take the lead, impressed the students. Well-preserved letters and paper contracts also drew their attention. Kenza, an international business student from Morocco, noted, “People back then relied purely on trust—no complex contracts, just a signature. Trust was their most powerful business tool.”

同样来自摩洛哥的Nada则从另一个角度发现了历史的智慧。“宁波帮的历史就像一个人力驱动的互联网，”这位AI专业的学生兴奋地比喻，“这些书信和文件是‘数据包’，商人的经验就是‘核心算法’。尽管今天我们的数据更快更多，但建立在人脉和经验之上的智慧，恰恰是人工智能最难学习的部分。”

Nada, also from Morocco and majoring in AI, observed the historical wisdom from another perspective: “It's like a human-powered internet! Their letters were the 'data packets,' and the merchants' experience was the 'core algorithm.’ Even though nowadays our data is faster and larger, the wisdom behind their judgments, based on 'relationships' and 'experience,' is the hardest thing for AI to learn.”

“建功立业”展区以复原的银楼、钱庄、药铺等场景，生动再现了宁波帮在金融、商贸、实业等领域的辉煌足迹。“你们知道楼茂记是卖什么的吗？”“以前的钱庄是怎么运作的？”在宁波工程学院老师生动的英语讲解下，学生们仿佛穿越回百年前的商业街，历史变得触手可及。

The "Great Contribution and Accomplishments" exhibition recreated silver shops, banks, and pharmacies, vividly illustrating the Ningbo Bang’s accomplishments in finance, commerce, and industry. Teacher from NBUT engaged the students with questions like, “Do you know whatLoumaojisold?” and “How did banks operate back then?”—making them feel as if they had stepped onto a bustling street from a century ago, with history suddenly within reach.

“赤子情怀”展馆中，一辆劳斯莱斯轿车吸引了所有人的目光。这是宁波帮人士应行久的座驾，曾用于接待朱镕基等领导人访问美国。这不仅是个人成就的象征，更是宁波帮爱国爱乡、回馈桑梓的缩影。邵逸夫、王宽诚等人捐资办学，回馈桑梓的事迹，深深打动了在场的国际学生。来自也门的Saeed Amr感慨道：“这是我看到最美好的事——他们功成名就后没有忘记家乡，而是选择回来建设家乡。这令我动容。”

In the "Patriotism Pioneering Life" exhibition, a Rolls-Royce drew everyone’s attention. Once used to transport leaders including Zhu Rongji during visits to the U.S., the car symbolizes not only personal success but also the Ningbo Bang’s dedication to their hometown. Philanthropic efforts by figures such as Run Run Shaw and Wang Kuancheng, who invested in education and scholarships, left a deep impression on the students. Saeed Amr from Yemen shared, “The most beautiful thing I saw today was that after achieving so much, they never forgot their hometown. They chose to come back and build it. That moved me deeply.”

从院士之乡到专家沃土，从文化根系到教育家祖庭，宁波帮精神正如火炬般代代相传。这场穿越时空的对话，让年轻的国际学生们在百年商帮的历史中找到了未来的启示。来自塔吉克斯坦的Jon从专业角度展望：“人工智能可以成为连接过去与现在的桥梁，让深厚的历史遗产以现代语言重新讲述。”

From a land of academicians to a nurturing ground for experts, from cultural roots to the cradle of educators, the spirit of the Ningbo Bang continues to pass from generation to generation. This cross-time dialogue allowed young international students to find inspiration for the future. Jon from Tajikistan reflected from a professional perspective: “To thrive in the future, it must speak the language of the present. This is where my expertise in Artificial Intelligence becomes crucial. I see AI not as a replacement for history, but as the ultimate bridge between the past and present.”

Saeed也分享了他的洞察：“宁波坐拥世界第一大港，当今世界既需要中国商业，也需要中国智慧。这是宁波的机遇，也正是宁波帮精神在今天的价值所在。”

Saeed added, “Ningbo has the world’s biggest port. The world needs Chinese commerce and Chinese ingenuity. Ningbo Bang’s spirit is as relevant today as ever.”

As Iraqi student Leo put it, the wisdom of the Ningbo Bang is like “a thread drawn from history, lighting the way to our future.” This museum visit was more than a cultural experience—it was a dynamic professional awakening.
